Alpha Engine Sector

Long ago Sheltem employed vagabonds to traverse Terra and gather its secrets. Once they had learned much and reported back, he stole their souls and imprisoned them in crystal receptacles. These Sleepers of Sheltem confess their knowledge to anyone who touches the vessel they inhabit. The two outer chambers hold souls of those who met with Tumult, King Chaotic, and the Lords of the Attributes from Arachnoid Cavern. The middle chambers contain passcodes needed to venture deeper into the metal underworld.

Alpha Engine Sector is in area F4 — Forsaken Sands at X9 Y8. Transport tubes from other sectors lead here.
Four King's Ultimate Power Orbs (points 2–5) sit at the corners of the sector: two on the left (X0 Y4 and X0 Y14), two on the right (X15 Y1 and X15 Y9). Each is heavily guarded by ED-409 and Guardians.
ED-409 (400 HP, speed 75, energy attack) is the most dangerous enemy in this sector. Guardians (250 HP) are slower and less threatening. Both destroy without discretion.
The crystals in the corridor alcoves (point 7) look like decorations, but touching them ages a character by several years. Do not touch anything in the corridors except the crystal receptacles of the Sleepers.
Transport tubes link the sectors and require passcodes to activate. Some codes can be learned from the Sleepers of Sheltem in the crystal receptacles.
