One Level Project — Step 6
General Tips
A few closing notes gathered from running the whole project. At level 1 small details matter much more than in a normal run.
Shrines and Wells
Track shrine schedules and visit all altars diligently. Various wells and fountains scattered across the world grant permanent stat bonuses — always worth a detour.
+30 to Level well in Kregspire — very useful before encounters in locations you can teleport to. If you have SP and HP regeneration, simply wait a few hours to fill both bars to what a level-31 character would have.
Dragon Sands — Obelisk
Obtain the ability to fly (a spell or an NPC companion), fly across Blackshire, land briefly and step into Dragon Sands. Cast Fly immediately and rise above the welcoming barrage. Fly to the Temple of the Gods, dive inside and press Enter. Click the obelisk with every character, then release Enter, fly out, gain altitude fast and flee to the lower-left corner of the map. Reward: +20 to all stats, including resistances.
Dragon Sands — Fountains
Harder to execute: fly over the fountain, press Enter and manoeuvre vertically while dodging fire. You can drink — but at most two characters at a time, as the others will be dismembered. Use a Town Portal NPC spell immediately after and flee to Free Haven (make sure the church restoration quest has been completed so resurrection is available). Reward: +10 to seven stats and +10 elemental resistances (second fountain).
The Arena
When gold runs critically low, visit the Arena on Sundays (stable in Ironfist). At level 1 opponents are always weak, and winning earns 500 gold.
The Learning Skill
Easy to forget when playing a party of Knights and Paladins who never enter spell shops. Learn it in Mist at any spell shop (membership required). Even rank 1 grants 10% bonus experience — very noticeable over the course of a million-EXP run.
Galleries
After reaching one million experience points, I captured screenshots of the results. All galleries are accessible via the navigation panel on the left.
