Walkthrough
Main Control Sector
Corak's Notes
Steel yourself, Adventurer — you have come far. You stand within a breath of final knowledge, but to tread the Final Way the Ancients would require things of you. Three stone Oracles in the western chamber hold secrets more heavily guarded than even the Dragon Lord's gold — the ultimate knowledge of the Ancients. Torpedo batteries and phaser systems wait to be activated. This is the last place before the end.
Monsters in the area: ED-409, Iron Wizards, Terminators Main Control Sector is accessible from the Central Control Sector (C2).
- 1Entrance/Exit (from Central Control Sector).
- 2Phaser Battery levers — activate the Primary Phaser Batteries. The floor vibrates and a strange shrill fills the air.
- 3Torpedo Launch Control levers — two levers. The floor jolts and the lights flicker when pulled.
- 4Three Oracles in the western chamber — the most heavily guarded knowledge in the entire game. Terminators guard them. These are the final secrets of the Ancients.
- 5Monstrous statues along the walls — tiny lights wink inside their crystalline bodies. They do not attack, but are part of the mystery of this place.
Main Control Sector is the final stage of the underground journey through the metal chambers beneath the pyramids. It is accessible only from the Central Control Sector.
Terminators (1,000 HP, AC 100, speed 200, energy attack, 1,000–4,000 damage) guard the western chamber with the Oracles. This is the hardest fight in the entire game. If your party cannot defeat them, you may try bypassing them with Teleport or Etherealize spells to touch the Oracles without combat.
The Phaser Battery and Torpedo Launch Control levers (points 2 and 3) are distributed throughout the sector. Activating them triggers visual and audio effects; their exact narrative role is one of the mysteries of this place.
After exhausting all objectives in the sector, return to the Central Control Sector and use the code BLASTOFF at the appropriate altar or transport tube to trigger the game's ending. Remember that you need a complete collection of King's Ultimate Power Orbs — check the How to Win section for details.
